Biography

Dr. Zamira Yanine is a Medical Surgeon from the Nueva Granada Military University and a Specialist in Aesthetic Medicine and Laser Application from the University of Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. She completed a Diploma in Higher Education, Teaching, and University Pedagogy at the University of Rosario in 2003 and taught in the Aesthetic Medicine and Laser Application specialization program from 2006 to 2019, where she participated in various research projects. She won the Arturo Aparicio Jaramillo Research Award for best postgraduate work in Medicine at the University of Rosario (2006). As part of her specialization studies in Aesthetic Medicine, she completed internships at Washington Hospital Center and the Center for Laser Surgery in Washington, D.C. (2004-2005). Her medical degree was validated in the United States (2007) after she passed the exams (USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK (Clinical Knowledge), Step 2 CS (Clinical Skills)) required by the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) for foreign physicians. She is a founding member of the Colombian Society of Specialists in Aesthetic Medicine (SOCOLME), where she has served on the board of directors and was president of the organization from 2009 to 2011.

Dr. Zamira Yanine is a board certified specialist in Aesthetic Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Aesthetic Medicine at Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia.

Dr. Yanine's undergraduate degree is from Universidad Milita Nueva Granada where she completed medical school. She accomplished her Aesthetic Medicine residency program at Universidad del Rosario, where she won the "Arturo Aparicio Jaramillo" award to the best postgraduate investigation work (2006).

She is a founding member of the Colombian Society of Specialists in Aesthetic Medicine (SOCOLME), where she has participated as part of the board of directors and was President of the organization from 2009 to 2011.
