  • What is botulinum toxin used for?

    The purpose of treatment with botulinum toxin in the field of Aesthetic Medicine is to attenuate dynamic wrinkles of the forehead, between the eyebrows, the periorbital region ("crow's feet") and neck bands. It can also be applied to the wrinkles on the nose and the corners of the lower lip that give the impression of sadness.

  • What does the treatment consist of?

    Botulinum toxin inhibits the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, preventing the treated muscle from contracting. This prevents the skin immediately above the muscle from folding and thus causing lines and furrows to appear and deepen on the skin.

  • How long will it take to see results?

    You will notice results within the first 4 to 7 days after treatment. The full effect will be evident after approximately 15 days.

  • How long does results last?

    Botulinum toxin injection inhibits the contraction of the treated muscles for a period of 3 to 4 months on average. However, the duration of the results obtained may vary from patient to patient.
